GARDETTA PLATEAU

The itinerary develops largery at high altitude, along former military roads. In the presence of Rocca la Meja, a plateau of incomparable beauty opens up to the visitor, accessible from three valleys, Stura Valley (both from Sambuco and from the Vallone dell’Arma), Grana Valley and Maira Valley.

In the years of the last World War, the whole surrounding area was included in the costruction of the great defensive work called Alpine Valley with the construction of bunkers and barracks.
