Tour that through suggestive military roads/paths along the Italian-French border, will lead to Ligurian territory and finally, after an interminable descent mainly dirt, to the sea.
It takes place partly following the ‘Alta via dei Monti Liguri’ and partly on paths and dirt roads, most well-marked, which often follow the ancient communication routes that united the coast with the Po Valley.
They were the ‘salt routes’ which served as connecting and commercials roads, for those who brought in addition to salt also oil and overseas goods from the ports of the coast to the markets of rich Po Valley
